The municipality annually appoints a weed inspector. With their assistance, council has approved a Weed Management Plan with an objective of prevention, eradication and containment of prohibited and noxious weeds. The municipality wants to use the land base to its fullest extent, whether it is for crop production, livestock production or recreation.

The municipality also has a bylaw and a policy to help with the prevention and control of clubroot.
