Fire Ban in Effect for Winslow #319

As of 4 pm on May 4, 2025, all of the land within the RM of Winslow No. 319 is under a Fire Ban. The ban will be reviewed weekly, beginning on May 13 for when the ban will be lifted. This is authorized by the Administrator on behalf of the Council for the RM of Winslow No. 319.

The Fire Restriction Bylaw for the RM of Winslow No. 319 states that no person shall light, or start or cause to be ignited, a fire of any kind whatsoever during a fire ban. No person shall discharge, or start or allow to be discharged or ignited any Fireworks of any kind whatsoever during a fire ban.

Road Weight Information

The RM of Winslow will allow, with a permit, primary weight’s on municipal roads as of Monday, May 5, 2025. Agricultural primary weight permits can be issued at the RM Office. Commercial haulers must obtain their permit through Roadata. Permit holders will receive email updates on road bans that Dennis Dales, our Traffic Compliance Officer, issues through Roadata.

First Annual Paynton Rhubarb Festival

The Village of Paynton is proud to announce Saskatchewan’s first-ever Rhubarb Festival on June 21, 2025.

Long before hardy tree fruit, rhubarb was a staple in prairie pantries. It is only fitting that we have a Rhubarb Baking Competition & Rhubarb tea! The Tractor Show promises to have guests reminiscing. Disc Golf demonstrations, Bouncy Castles, Silent Auction, Local Dancers, and lots of Vendors, Food Service, and Food Trucks round out the day.
Relax and visit our Beer & Wine Garden! We will even have a Rhubarb Drink made just for the day!
