Employment Opportunity: Foreman

The Rural Municipality of Winslow No. 319 is currently accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Foreman to join our management team.
The successful candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation, as well as road maintenance and construction. Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence; a Class 1A licence is considered an asset. A strong understanding of equipment operation, along with mechanical aptitude, is required.
This position also requires demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage projects within the municipality. The Foreman will oversee and manage inventory, including gravel, culverts and municipal signage.

Twenty-five Year Old Time Capsule Opened April 2025

A map from March 1998, a photo of the staff and council, which was taken in December 1999 and a program for a Provincial hockey game of the Dodsland Senior Stars against the Drake Canucks were in the time capsule.
A Briar ticket stub and the sports section of The Star Phoenix, indicating that Greg McAulay, of British Columbia, was the Briar winner, was put in the time capsule to illustrate events that were happening in 2000.
The Reeve’s speech from the April 2000 Rate Payer’s Meeting, pins from the 90th anniversary of the RM of Winslow #319 in 2000, a poster and pin protesting the Government of Saskatchewan’s plan for forced amalgamations of Rural Municipalities were included in the time capsule.
The Reeve’s speech outlined projects the municipality was working on, capital purchases from the prior year, and that the SARM membership voted on establishing APAS to help lobby farm issues at the Federal level of Government. The speech also shared information about forced amalgamation plans and meetings the council had attended to protest
